From 1st September 2018, we shall become the Met Office's official recording station for Northampton. Installation of the met office weather station (Pitsford, Northampton) is scheduled for early August with a view to the site going live on 1st September. The Met Office weather station will be a manual observing site which will be run by fully trained Sixth Form observers, thus reinstating the tradition of the Sixth Form being involved with the running of the weather station here at Pitsford which was suspended following installation of our automatic weather station.
The weather centre will continue using the automatic weather station which will form the basis of the 'live' pages of this web site. Official Met Office data will be recorded separately and made available on a dedicated page of this web site. Data will also be made available via the Met Office WOW site. More information will be posted here over the next few weeks.
